ACTIVITY 3.2

OBJECTIVE

To find a hidden picture by plotting and joining the various points with given coordinates in a plane.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

Cardboard Graph paper/squared paper
White paper Geometry box
Cutter Pencil
Adhesive

PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE

1. Knowledge of coordinate axes
2. Knowledge of coordinates of a point

THEORY

Refer to the theory of Activity 3.1.

PROCEDURE
1. Take the cardboard and paste a white paper on it.

2. Take a graph paper and paste it on the white paper.
3. Draw two perpendicular axes XOX′ and YOY′ as shown in Fig. (a).

4. Plot the points A, B, C, ... with given coordinates (a, b), (c, d), (e, f), ..., respectively as shown in Fig. (b).
5. Join the points in a given order, say ABCD.....A as shown in Fig. (c).
