Coded Message

Aashima, Ameesha, Amit, and Arpit formed. The Fantastic Four Club. In its first meeting, they
decided to develop a code for their club, so that they could send messages to each other without
others reading them.

They tried hard and finally they hit upon the idea.

1. The next day, Aashima, Ameesha, and Amit sent a birthday card to Arpit which read:

UNCCL OVEGUQNL NECVG

But Arpit’s father managed to decipher the code and read the message loudly for all to hear:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARPIT

Can you find the code they used?
Write UNCLE IS VERY CLEVER in that code.

2. Tried again and used number code to write the same message again.

8, 1, 16, 16, 25 2, 9, 18, 20, 8, 4, 1, 25 1, 18, 16, 9, 20

This time, Arpit’s mother found out the secret code. Write ‘AUNTY IS VERY CLEVER’ in

number code used by The Fantastic Fours.

3. Finally they checked all the books on codes and ciphers, and chanced upon a code devised by
Julius Caesar. It read like this:

This time, they wrote ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARPIT’ in this code—

And no one could read it except Arpit.
Arpit was thrilled. He wrote in the new code ‘I AM A GENIUS’.
