Internet Telephony
Internet Telephony is a communication service that allows a user to
make voice calls over the Internet to another user using a personal
computer equipped with speakers and microphone.
Internet Telephony services let you make calls from a computer to
another computer or from a computer to a telephone. It also lets you
make video calls using a smartphone or a webcam.
Skype, Viber, and WhatsApp are popular Internet telephony services.
Newsgroups Skype
A Newsgroup is a communication service which provides information on a particular topic to the users.
It is an electronic bulletin board where people can post and read messages. The bulletin board is managed
by a newsgroup server that forwards the messages to all its users to view, comment on, or reply.
Messages in a newsgroup are not delivered instantly. Users need to visit the newsgroup
site regularly to get updates or latest information. Thousands of newsgroups are
available on the Internet which are grouped into categories based on topics such as
politics, sports, computers, arts, and lifestyle.
Google News and Flipboard are popular newsgroup services.

Blogs
A Blog, or Weblog, is a website consisting of frequently
updated entries called posts. Blog posts are arranged
in a reverse chronological order with the most recent
entry appearing first. A blog can contain text, images,
audio, video, and hyperlinks to other websites. A blog
usually represents the viewpoint and experiences
of the author or provides information about an
organisation and its products and services. One can
view a blog and add his/her comments.
The process of creating, editing or maintaining a Blogger
blogs is called Blogging and the author of a blog is called a Blogger. Some popular websites that offer
blog services are WordPress, Blogger, and Tumblr.
