DELETING TEXT

You can use the Delete or Backspace key to delete a character, a word, or a block of
text from a document.

To delete a character:
1. Place the cursor to the left of the

character you want to delete. HARDWARE HARDARE
2. Press the Delete key. Deleting a character using Delete key
Or

1. Place the cursor to the right of the
character you want to delete. HARDWARE HARWARE

2. Press the Backspace key. Deleting a character using Backspace key
To delete a word:

1. Place the cursor to the left of the word you want to delete.
2. Press the Ctrl + Delete key combination.

Or
1. Place the cursor to the right of the word you want to delete.

2. Press the Ctrl + Backspace key combination.
To delete a selected text:

1. Select the text you want to delete.
2. Press either the Delete key or Backspace key.

UNDO AND REDO COMMANDS
Word 2019 keeps track of all the changes that you make in a document. You can

either undo an action or redo an action you undid. The Undo command is used to
reverse the last action or a series of recent actions. The Redo command is used to
cancel the actions reversed by the Undo command.
