          Using a Search Engine

A Search Engine is a web-based tool that enables you to search for information
present on the World Wide Web. A Search engine maintains an index of web pages
on the basis of special text called keywords and tags. Some popular search engines
are Google (www.google.co.in), Yahoo (www.in.search.yahoo.com) and Bing (www.

          bing.com).
To search for information on a topic:

            1. Open a web browser. We have used Microsoft Edge in the example.

            2. In the address box, type www.google.co.in to open the Google search engine
                  web page.
