Wearable Computers
A Wearable computer is a small computer that can be worn on the body. Wearable

computers are designed in the form of devices, such as watches or sunglasses for
wearability. These devices can connect to Internet or smartphones using Bluetooth
technology and can provide information, play music, and make calls too.

Some common wearable devices available are:

Smartwatches
Smartwatches are wearable devices that have features like those
of smartphones. Apart from telling time, these can be used to

make calls, take pictures, send messages, and check your fitness
data. Some smartwatches can store pictures and music after
installing a memory card in them.

Fitness Trackers

Fitness trackers are wearable bands that track
number of steps, duration of exercise, number
of calories burned, and blood pressure. Fitness
trackers come in a variety of shapes, from bracelets
to watches. Some fitness trackers pair up with

a smartphone to display call notifications and
messages.

Smart Glasses
Smart glasses are sunglasses or spectacles with a

computer embedded in the frame. These display
information onto the glass lenses. Modern smart
glasses can run mobile apps that play music, show
weather, show messages and call details, and help
in navigation.
