Signing Out from an Email Account
You should sign out from your email account properly once your work is
finished to avoid misuse of your account by other people.
To sign out from your Gmail account:
1. Click the account picture or account name at the top-right corner of
the window.

EMAIL NETIQUETTES
Email Netiquettes refer to the rules that one should follow while composing or replying email
messages. Some of these rules are:
1. Keep email messages brief and to the point.
2. Use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
3. Do not send private or confidential information via email.
4. Use the subject field to indicate the content and purpose on email.
5. Do not attach unnecessary files.
6. Do not forward spam email.
7. Do not send or forward email messages containing defamatory,
offensive, racist, or obscene remarks.
8. Keep your language gender neutral.
Database Subject Enrichment
The first email from space was sent in 1991 by the STS-43 Atlantis crew. They used Apple’s early AppleLink
software on a Macintosh Portable. The message reads:
“Hello Earth! Greetings from the STS-43 Crew. This is the first AppleLink from space. Having a GREAT time.
Wish you were here… send cryo and RCS! Hasta la vista, baby… we’ll be back.”

To create an email account, you must register with an email service provider.
Every email address is made up of two parts – the username and the email service provider’s
domain name, separated by the @ symbol.
