Project 1
Create a document in Writer about computer peripherals. Divide the document into sections dealing with input
devices, output devices, processing device, and storage devices. Give proper headings and sub-headings to the
various sections. Save the document with the name “Computer Peripherals”.
Prepare a Table of Contents (TOC) for the document using the following steps:
• The TOC should be inserted in the beginning of the document.
• Format the TOC suitably to make the information in it visible properly and attractive.
• Make some changes in the headings or sub-headings.
• Update the TOC to reflect the changes.
• Save the document.
Project 2
Create a document in Writer on different types of number systems used in computers. Save the document with
the name “Number Systems”. It should include brief descriptions of the various number systems, their uses, and
basic operations possible on them.
• Enable the Track Changes feature using the Edit menu.
• Share the document with two of your friends and ask them to read and edit the document, making necessary
changes and adding their comments.
• View all the changes and comments using the Track Changes feature under the Edit menu.
• Review the changes and go to Edit menu > Track Changes option > Accept/Reject option to accept or reject
the changes.
• Save your work.

Rohan, a HR manager, wants to analyse how changes in tax rate and bonus given to employees affects the net
salary using Scenarios.
• Launch LibreOffice Calc on your computer and create a spreadsheet as shown below.
The various formulas used for cells are as follows:
under Tax: = B2 * $G$2
under Bonus: = B2 * $H$2
under Net Salary: = B2 – C2 + D2
