Step 7: Detail or Summary: It specifies whether to display all records of the query, or only the results of
aggregate functions. This page is usually displayed when there are numerical fields in the query that
allow the use of aggregate functions.
Select the type of query:
• Detailed query: Select to show all records of the query.
• Summary query : Select to show only results of aggregate functions.
Select the aggregate function and the field name of the numeric field in the list box. You can enter as
many aggregate functions as you want, one in each row of controls. If you select Detailed query option,
then next 2 steps are not available.
Click the Next button.
Step 8: Grouping: It specifies whether to group the query. The data source must support the SQL statement
“Group by clauses” to enable this step of the wizard.
Step 9: Grouping Conditions: It specifies the conditions to group the query. The data source must support the
SQL statement “Group by clauses” to enable this step of the wizard.
Step 10: Aliases: It assigns aliases to field names. Aliases are optional, and can provide more user-friendly
names, which are displayed in place of field names. For example, an alias can be used when fields from
different tables have the same name. Enter the aliases for the field names. Click the Next button.
