Let’s Learn Phrasal Verbs
A phrasal verb has two parts—a verb and a particle. The particle is either a preposition or
an adverb or both.
For example: bring in, go around, look up, put away, take off, look down on, etc.
Phrasal verbs often have meanings which are different from the actual words. For example:
I looked up the dictionary for the meaning of the word ‘collocation’.

Here, looked up does not mean to look in an upward direction. It means to search for
information.
Formation of Phrasal Verbs
A phrasal verb may be formed in different ways:
