Listening & Speaking Time
1. The teacher will read 10 sentences with different modal functions. The students
have to listen to the teacher carefully by mentioning the correct name of the
modal function. One sentence can possess one or more function, but the student
must mention only the correct ones.
For example:
Teacher : May God fulfil all her dreams!
Student : The word May is used as a Wish. It is a modal verbs.

2. The teacher will organise a pair activity among the students. One student will Modals
make a request to another student for participating in any occasion (birthday,
school function, festival celebration, badminton match, etc.) The other student will
reply. Both use modals in the sentences they use.
For example:
One student : Can you come tomorrow to my birthday party?
Second student : I may come.
