Let’s Learn Continuous Tenses
Continuous tense tells us about an action that is done in continuation in present, past or
future.
Present Continuous Tense
The present continuous tense is used:
to indicate an action that is happening in the present moment. For example:
Please be quiet. The children are sleeping.

to indicate an action that may have started sometime ago, but is still continuing. For example:
He is learning French.

to talk about an action that is going to happen in the near future. For example:
What are you doing next week?

to talk about an action which happens repeatedly. For example:
They are always fighting.

Formation of Sentences in Present Continuous Tense
To make a positive sentence, we add the helping verbs is, am or are and the -ing form of
the main verb. For example:
Karan is washing his car.
