prosperity, the peace, which our Oudh has, will vanish.

for it under the desk, behind the cupboard, in her bag, on the table and on the floor. Though ball point pens
have replaced fountain pens over time, Nancy keeps her red fountain pen in use because she loves it. This
is a gift from her drawing teacher Mr Aziz. She has learnt from Mr Aziz that good handwriting can be
developed with a fountain pen. So she uses the pen daily to write her personal diary. What will she do now
without the pen? Suddenly, she sees Mr Aziz standing there with her red fountain pen in his hand. “Good
morning, sir! How is this pen with you? ”, Nancy says happily and curiously. Mr Aziz gives the pen to
her gently and says, “I have found it near the door.” Nancy is pleased and cheerful.

Chapter 4 (Page 26) Listening and Speaking Text
The kite rejoices flying high and seeing other kites dancing with it in the sky. When the boy pulls it
down, it endeavours to go still higher. But he, she and they will not keep it happy for long. He holds my
string and compels me to fight with others. The sky is cleaner than the earth, and I love to be here. He
knows that I am not his for long. The girl knows that I may go to her soon when I am cut from my string
and they know that a kite flying high in the sky is ultimately a sport for themselves. My colourful
friends tell me while I am flying, “Don’t worry! You keep doing what you are doing. We see that your
flight in the sky is imbued with your passion and spirit. It should please you. The sky looks beautiful
with you and us.”
