Listening & Speaking Time
The teacher will make five chits with five noun-terms that form pairs:― ‘Singular--Plural’,
‘Masculine--Feminine’, ‘Adjective--Abstract nouns’, ‘`Verb--Abstract nouns’’’® and ‘Common
noun--Abstract noun’. She will call students in pairs and ask them to pull out one chit and
read aloud the term written on it. Then the teacher will ask one of them to speak out
Nouns of the pair speaks the counterpart®s version of those five nouns. The teacher will
5 different nouns of the term mentioned o’n the chit. After that the second student
monitor the activity and correct the mistakes, if any.
For example:
A pair of students selects, ‘verb--abstract nouns’.’
Student A: know, obey, sell, speak, grow.
Student B: knowledge, obedience, sale, speech, growth.
