Foreword

Grammar refers to the set of rules and structures that govern a language. Hence, grammar plays
an important role in learning the English language.

The English grammar is embedded in the English language. This series of WORD NEST English
Grammar (Classes 1 to 8) takes the students on a journey in which they learn grammar naturally.
As a result, they would be able to use English for expressing themselves effectively and creatively.
This series is so designed as to discover graded lessons in listening, speaking, reading, and
            writing.

This series is based on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and fulfils the learning objectives
in accordance with National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023.
An easy language has been used for explanation of topics and rules. An effort has been made
to introduce grammatical terms in a graded manner. Numerous examples from the student’s
surroundings would make them understand the concepts in a fun way.

To encourage the reading skills, the series includes a number of comprehension passages. And
to improve the writing skills, a variety of composition exercises have been given.
