Listening & Speaking Time

The teacher will call five students at a time to the front of the class and

ask them to speak five sentences using is, am, are, was, were. All the five

sentences should be based on the same topic and related to each other. The

teacher will allow them to discuss among themselves and remind them to be

careful while using is/am/are, was/were.

Example: We were studying for maths exam yesterday. Am, Is, Are, Was, Were

I was not studying for the English exam yesterday.

Today I am studying for my English exam.

He/she is studying for English exam, too.

All of us are studying for our English exam now.
