Foreword

What Where Why? is a series of General Knowledge books for Classes 1 to 8 that provides insight
into the rapidly changing world. This series has been designed to stimulate the interest of students
in fact-based learning of both national and international events of importance. Each page of the book
is constructed using challenging exercises aided with colourful illustrations to ensure an impactful

acquisition of knowledge. Based on the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023, the series focuses on
values, sustainability, and global awareness that help students in becoming informed, responsible,
and compassionate global citizens.

Mixed Bag comprises a miscellaneous collection of facts and exercises for the student.

• The books end with a series of Test Papers that serve as an assessment tool for the material
covered.

• Answers have been provided at the end of the book to assist the teacher.

Additionally, a leaflet comprising Current Affairs is presented at the end of the books to keep the
