          An adverb is a word that adds some meaning to a verb, an adjective or another adverb.

          Study the following examples carefully.

              1.   He was talking loudly.
              2.   He speaks very loudly.

              3.   He is extremely good at playing the sitar.

              4.   The town is almost on the bank of the river.

              5.   I shall come only when you are there.

          Kinds of Adverbs

          Adverbs can be divided into three classes:

             (a)  Simple Adverbs                (b)  Interrogative Adverbs                (c)  Relative Adverbs

          Simple Adverbs

          Simple adverbs can be classified as follows:

            A.   Adverbs of Time

                 He will reach here tomorrow.

                 Commonly used adverbs of time are:
                      now                then               already           often             early

                      today              daily              immediately       tomorrow          yesterday
