Future Continuous Tense
The future continuous tense indicates an action or event that will be taking place at some point
of time in the future.
Uses of Future Continuous Tense
The future continuous tense is used when an action will occur in the future and continue for a
period of time.
l At 6 o’ clock, I will be meeting with the management.
Formation of Future Continuous Tense
To form the future continuous tense, we use shall be or will be + the main verb in its -ing form.
l He will be doing a course in the first-aid.
l I shall be getting admission in the medical college.
Making Negative and Interrogative Sentences in the Future Continuous Tense
To form the negative in future continuous, we use shall not be or will not be + the main verb in its
-ing form.
l He will not be doing a course in the first-aid.
l I shall not be getting admission in the medical college.
To form the interrogative in future continuous, the subject is placed between will and be + the
main verb in its -ing form.
l Shall I be practising the flute this evening?
l Will he be receiving you at the station?
