          An adjective is a word that qualifies a noun or pronoun.

          The words that describe the qualities of nouns are called adjectives.
              1.  The women were in deep sorrow.

              2.  Napoleon was a French general.

              3.  He is wearing a blue shirt.
              4.  My mother is a capable doctor.

              5.  Which girl are you talking about?
              6.  I need some moral support.

          Each word printed in colour is followed by a noun about which it describes something, i.e. adds
          something to its meaning. So it is an adjective.


          Proper Adjectives
          A proper adjective is an adjective that is formed from a proper noun.
