          We use am with the singular pronoun I and are with the singular pronoun you.


          Was/Were


           Singular Subject + Singular Verb                    Plural Subject + Plural Verb

           I was your friend.                                  They were your friends.

           He was our neighbour.                               Amit and Charu were our neighbours.
           The dog was barking.                                The dogs were barking.

           She was dancing.                                    They were dancing.

           The boy was studying.                               The boys were studying.


          Has/Have


           Singular Subject + Singular Verb                    Plural Subject + Plural Verb

           She has two red shirts.                             You have a beautiful doll.
           He has a new washing machine.                       They have many toys.

           The man has a bag.                                  The men have bags.

           The child has a toy.                                The children have toys.
           She has a bicycle.                                  They have bicycles.



           We always use have with the singular pronouns I and you.

             1.  I have a blue bag.

             2.  You have a cow.
