First Person: The pronouns that denote the person or persons speaking are

called the pronouns of the first person.
I, we, me and us are the pronouns of the first person.
Second Person: The pronouns that denote the person or persons spoken to are

called the pronouns of the second person.
You, your and yours are the pronouns of the second person. These are used as
singulars and plurals.
Third Person: The pronouns that denote the person or persons spoken of are

called the pronouns of the third person.
He, she, him, her, it, they and them are the pronouns of the third person.
The pronoun it is used for animals and things.
Possessive Pronouns
Possessive pronouns stand for people or things who own something.
Read the following sentences.
1. This pen is mine. 2. This book is yours.
3. That bag is his. 4. That house is hers.
5. Those books are yours. 6. This aquarium is ours.
7. Those flowers are theirs.
The pronouns mine, yours, his, hers, yours, ours and theirs are possessive pronouns.
Demonstrative Pronouns
The word ‘demonstrate’ means ‘to show something clearly’. A pronoun that points
out an object or objects to which it refers to is called a demonstrative pronoun.
