Use of Was/Were

          The verbs was and were are called Be verbs. These verbs tell us what a

          person or thing was.

          We use was with I, he, she, it, this, that, and one person or thing.


          We use were with you, they, we, these, those and more than one person or
          thing.



















                   It was raining.                 She was smiling.             The answer was right.















               You all were absent.              These were my balls.  We were in the park.
