          Use of Is, Are, Am

          The verb is the most important word in a sentence. The words am, is, are

          are called ‘be verbs’. These verbs tell us what a person or thing is.

          •  We use am with I only.

          •  We use is with he, she, it, this, that and one person or thing.


          •  We use are with we, you, they, these, those and many people or things.
