        Odd and Even Numbers

Objects that are in twos are said to be in pairs. For example, a pair
        of socks.

Let us try to represent numbers in pairs.

                   8

                                                                                                  a pair of socks
                   9

When a number can be made in pairs, it is called an even number.

When a number cannot be made in pairs, it is called an odd number.

So, 8 is an even number whereas, 9 is an odd number. In the same way, we can try
        other numbers.
