We need data to extract information out ...to extract meaning out of these details what
of it. To draw some conclusion, we need it. we call data and turn it into Information.

Using a measuring tape, the teacher measures the height of each student in the class. Height
should be measured in centimeters. The names and the heights of all the students are to be
written on the board. Divide the class into two groups. The students discuss in groups, and they
must record the names of the students in their groups as well as their heights in ascending order
in their notebooks.
