A C T I V I T Y T I M E
Objective: To estimate weight of different objects.
Materials Required: Soapcake, salt, chocolate, a
juice can, oil, milk packet and other things with
the weight/capacity mentioned on their packets.
Procedure:
1. The students will work in pairs. oil
2. One student of each pair will hold an object
in her/his hand and try to guess its weight or
capacity. How much does it weigh? Note down the estimated weight.
3. Other student will read the value of the object written on the packet. This is the
actual weight. Note it down.
4. The teacher will repeat steps 2 and 3 with other pairs.

5. The teacher will award the points to the pairs who are more close to the actual
weight of the objects.
