Objective: To demonstrate the concept of volume.
Materials Required: Two measuring jars with minimum 500 mL capacity, water,
notebook.
Procedure: 1. Label both the jars as jar-1 and jar-2.
2. Fill jar-1 with water upto 250 mL mark and pour the water of jar-1 into
jar-2.
3. Again fi ll jar-1 with water upto 250 mL mark and pour it into jar-2.
4. Now look the reading in jar-2. It is 500 mL.
5. Now pour water from jar-2 into jar-1 upto 200 mL mark.
6. Again notice the reading in jar-2. It is 300 mL.
7. Record your observations in your notebook as shown below.
500 mL = 250 mL + 250 mL 500 mL = 200 mL + 300 mL
