Circle Graph
We can also represent data by dividing a circle into different parts or sectors. This type of data
representation is called a circle graph or pie-graph or pie-chart.
Let’s learn through an example.

Example: The circle graph shows the number of students and their favourite subjects.
Study the circle graph and answer the following.
(a) How many students like Hindi as their favourite subjects?
(b) Find the difference of students who like Mathematics

(c) What is the total number of students who like English Studies 4
and Mathematics? 2
(d) Which is the most favourite subject? English Mathematics 6

(e) Which subject is least liked by the students?
Solution: (a) Number of students who like Hindi as their favourite subject =4
(b) Number of students who like Mathematics = 6
Number of students who like computer = 1
Thus, required difference = 6 – 1 = 5
(c) Total number of students who like English and Mathematics = 5 + 6 = 11
(d) Most favourite subject is Mathematics which is liked by 6 students.
(e) Computer is liked least by the students.
