Privacy Concern
AI systems have been implemented in various industries where security or privacy of data is one of the most
challenging factors. For example, Chatbots, an example of Conversational AI, is widely used by Banks and other
financial institutions for customer interactions. These bots collect user’s personal data which can be easily
hijacked by hackers or fraudsters.
Adoption Concern
AI systems affect the human workforce which is considered as one of the major concerns related to the adoption
of AI systems. Let us understand more about adoption concerns of AI system through the following points:
u Future of Jobs: Now-a-days, you have seen various sectors which are filled with the concern of future jobs
due to the adoption of AI enabled systems in various sectors. Thus, job loss is the major concern across the
world due to adoption of automation systems in various sectors.
u Unemployment: The adoption of AI systems have a great impact on income inequality and employment
across the World because these systems are capable of doing any task effectively as humans do. Thus, these
systems displace human workers and create unemployment in every sector.
u Security: Artificial intelligence, one of the booming technologies, is similar to other technologies because it
can be used for good and bad intentions. For example, flying drones helps a lot in scientific research which
shows the good side. On the bad side, it is used by terrorists for various types of attacks.
u No reasoning: As you know, AI systems are artificially intelligent as they have no brain to think as similar to
humans. The working principle of these systems is GIGO. Thus, if biased data is fed into a system, then it will
produce biased results without any reason.
In conclusion, ethical concerns surrounding AI system implications span privacy issues related to data collection
and broader societal challenges such as job displacement, income inequality, and security threats. Striking
a balance between the benefits and ethical considerations is crucial for the responsible development and
deployment of AI systems.
