In the golden age of information, our lives are constantly changing due to the rapid growth in the development
of AI technologies. Nowadays, we can live a comfortable life using various smart devices in our homes as well
as in offices. Artificial Intelligence can collect and organize large amounts of information to make insights and
guesses that are beyond the human capabilities of manual processing. In the past few years, AI has evolved into
a powerful tool that enables machines to think and act like humans. In the previous chapters, we have learnt
about how AI is helping to make our life easier. However, before we proceed, let us just take a look at how AI
            has evolved.

            HISTORY OF AI

John McCarthy, a prominent computer scientist is known as the father of Artificial Intelligence. He presented the
definition of Artificial Intelligence at a conference on the campus of Dartmouth College in the summer of 1956
indicating the beginning of AI research.
During the 1960s, the US Department of Defense showed interest in this type of work and began research
on creating computers that are capable of acting like human beings. In 1970, the Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency(DARPA), an organisation of the United States Department of Defense completed the street
            mapping project.
The AI surge began with six major design goals as follows:

u Reasoning: Teach machines to perform complex tasks such as chess and math.
u Knowledge Representation: Enable machines to understand the real world, identifying objects, people,
