CHATBOTS

            Chatbots, a conversational agent, is one of the great applications of the NLP domain. Nowadays, Chatbots are
            widely used in banks and financial institutions for various types of transactional activities. The main benefit
            of chatbots in the banking industry is to solve the customer queries about online banking and giving them
            information about account opening, card loss etc. Let us try some of the chatbots given here and see how they
            work.






























            Now, think and answer the following questions:

             u   Which chatbot did you try? Write the name of any one chatbot.

             u   What is the purpose of the chatbot that you have tried?
             u   Did chat feel like you are talking to a human or a machine?
            When you interact with all of the above chatbots, you would feel that some chatbots are traditional, i.e.text
            based, whereas some chatbots are AI powered. A substantial difference exists between these two types of
            Chatbot.

            Different Types of Chatbots

            Chatbots follow some predefined rules to hold the conversation between the user the machine and others are
            made smart that can handle patterns and common human behaviours. Smart AI machine which can work, think
            and learn from their experience as a human. Let us study about two types of chatbots.

            Script-bot

            Script-bot are simple chatbots with limited functionalities. They are based for a task and follow a predetermined
            route to get the work done.  Since it works around a script, it is easy to make and needs either no or very less
            programming skills.
            These types of chatbots are used for straightforward interactions such as making life easy at home, e.g. Switch
            off light based on commands, order food online, etc. Some of the companies use them as customer care services
            for providing interactive Frequently asked questions services to the customer. If these chatbots are unable to
            handle certain queries, they connect a company’s customer care employee directly to the customer.
