Comments
1. It is the fl ower of China rose-Hibiscus rosa sinensis (Vern. Gurhal).
2. The fl ower is solitary and does not form an infl orescence.
3. Flower is big/large, bright pink or red in colour and showy.
4. Flower has fi ve petals, it is complete and twisted.
5. Stamens are monoadelphous.
6. Carpels are fi ve, style is long and passes through stamina tube. At the end of the top are fi ve
distinct rounded stigmas.
