(3) Most of us have the misconception that persons with allergies are either born with
them or acquire symptoms in childhood. That’s not true. An allergy can strike at any
moment in your life, and specialists believe it is becoming more common among
adults. While the majority of people who develop allergies as adults have previously
had an allergic reaction to the same or a different trigger, a small percentage of people
develop allergies for the first time in adulthood.
                (4) The allergic trigger may be an acute immune reaction, but the symptom is frequently
triggered by a mix of circumstances. Some triggers are thought to be stress, a sterile
environment that hinders the body from developing robust natural immunity, and
lifestyle-induced alterations in the body’s hormonal balance. Clinical data demonstrates
that allergies are more common in women after adolescence, after pregnancy, and
during menopause, all of which point to hormonal factors.
                (5) Of course, the greatest defence is to avoid the allergy trigger and to take an anti-allergy
drug as soon as possible following exposure to an allergen. Because pollen levels are
highest in the morning, people with asthma and airway sensitivity should postpone
outdoor exercises until later in the day or exercise indoors. Aerobic exercise causes
deeper and faster breathing, which causes more pollen and dust to be inhaled, which
can damage your airways and lungs. Because air pollutants tend to cling to clothes and
hair, changing your clothes or washing your hair before bed reduces your exposure.

On the basis of your understanding of the above passage, answer the following questions.
