1. My father said, “I can go for the picnic.”

3. Suman said, “We finished our work in time.”

Suman said that they had finished their work in time.

5. She said, “I want to ask my parents.”

III. Change the speech of these sentences from direct to indirect.
1. The policeman said to the victim, “We will catch the thief.”

The policeman told the victim that they would catch the thief.
2. My father said to me, “You have been wasting your time in watching television.”
My father warned me that I had been wasting my time in watching television.

3. The doctor said to me, “You must not miss your medicines.”
The doctor advised me not to miss my medicines.
