            3.  Do you think India would have prospered a lot in comparison to what it has achieved till today if it
               would have been adopted some other form of government instead of adopting Democracy? Give
               your views in about 150–200 words.

            4.  Collect information about an incident when violation of democratic rights has taken place in India
               or some other country. Describe the event and present your thoughts about it in approximately
               150–200 words.


          Project

            1.  Draw or paste a picture of Parliament of India in your notebook and write a few sentences about it
               highlighting its origin, importance, and functions in 150–200 words.

            2.  Draw a poster on the topic “Merits and Demerits of Democracy”.

            b.  Both Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are true, but Reason (R) is not the correct explanation of Assertion (A).
            c.  Assertion (A) is true and Reason (R) is false.

            d.  Assertion (A) is false and Reason (R) is true.
            1.  A:  Other forms of government like monarchy, dictatorship, or one-party rule do not require all
                   citizens to take part in politics.

                R:  In most non-democratic nations, governments are not chosen. So, citizens do not take part in
                   politics.
            2.  A:  Democracy is better than other forms of government.

                R:  There is no room to correct mistakes in Democracy.
            3.  A:  Democracy is not based on discussion and consultation.

                R:  A democratic decision always involves many persons, discussions, and meetings.
