• Love is much deeper than what is shown in movies: Most movies end at the point where the
lead pair is starting the relationship. They do not show the patience, tolerance, and understanding
required for making relationships work, thereby giving youngsters an incomplete picture.

A FEW TOOLS & TECHNIQUES
Before getting into relationships, teenagers must keep the following in mind:
1. It is completely normal and fine to not be in a relationship just for the sake of it.
2. Your partner or person you currently like is not “The One”, and as you grow you can develop an
attraction for different individuals.
3. It is okay to say ‘NO’ if someone confesses their feelings to you.
4. You should never be completely dependent or emotionally sucked into a relationship. Try to
maintain a balance between your feelings and other important parts of your life, like your friends
and studies.
5. Go slow and try to know the other person before getting too involved and do not allow your
partner to pressurise you to do something that you don’t want to.
6. More importantly, don’t fall, but rise in love! In other words, love should enrich your life and
make you a better, happier person and not miserable and doubtful.
