Special Keys Keys Function
It is the longest key on a keyboard. It is
Spacebar Spacebar used to enter space between two words.
It is used to place the cursor on the
next line while typing or to confirm a
Enter Key command to the computer. A keyboard
Enter
has two Enter keys.
It is used to erase one or more characters
Backspace Key Backspace
to the left of the cursor.
It is used to erase one or more characters
Delete Key Delete to the right of the cursor.
This key is present on the left side of the
keyboard. It can be turned ON or OFF by
Caps Lock Key Caps Lock pressing it. When turned ON, it is used to type
alphabets in capital letters. (UPPER CASE)
There are four arrow keys. They are used
Arrow Keys to move the cursor in up, down, left, and
right directions.

A cursor is the small vertical blinking bar on the monitor. It indicates the position
where the letter or digit is typed on the screen.
Remember the following points while using a keyboard:
1. Press the keys gently.
2. Do not keep your arms on the keyboard.
