Listening & Speaking Time

                  1. The teacher will read a few sentences about a road accident. The students should
listen to him/her carefully. The students, then, will write down the passive voices
of the same sentences in their notebooks. They will also identify and point out
some sentences which cannot be converted into passive voice. In a few words, they
need to explain the reasons for this condition.

(Refer to the `Listening and Speaking Text® given at the end of the book.)
                  2. The teacher will conduct a pair activity among the students in the class. One
student from the pair will speak out a sentence in active voice and the second one
convert the same sentence into passive voice. The teacher will prompt students
at her own discretion to speak out simple or negative or interrogative sentences.
                       For example:
                         First student: Tagore wrote Geetanjali.
Second student: Geetanjali was written by Tagore.
First student: Have they done the work?
Second student: Has the work been done?

                                                                                         InItIatIve & Self-dIrectIon
