Listening & Speaking Time

The teacher will divide the class into two groups. He/she will ask each group to
discuss and select 10 nouns each of masculine and feminine genders and similarly
10 nouns of singular and plural kinds. In this way, each group has a collection of 20
words (nouns). Now each group has to perform two roles–: of a questioner when they
speak and of a responder when they listen and answer. The teacher will ask both the
groups to choose a group representative. The teacher will allow both group members
to discuss among themselves for 5 minutes. There are two marks for each correct
answer. The teacher will monitor that the students talk to each other in English.
When the activity starts, one group representative will stand up and speak out a word.
The other group representative, helped by his group-members, will give the answer.
The teacher will monitor and write the score. Once one group has completed 20 words,
the other group will repeat the same activity with their set of 20 words. In the final
score, the winner group is applauded with clapings.
