Your diary entry must include:

              •  how proud you feel.
              •  the nervousness you felt.
              •  your ideas regarding technology taking prominence in the lives of teenagers.


        V.   You  are  Ruchit/Ruchita.  Today  you  appeared  for  a  quiz  on  the  famous  scientist  Albert
             Einstein. Although you prepared extensively, yet you were not confident and had fear
             and  doubt  in  mind.  But,  much  to  your  surprise,  as  you  started  writing  your  answers,
             you grew confident and finished your paper on a very positive note, with a feeling of
             success. Make an entry into your diary about this experience in 100–120 words.


              Hints:
              •  studied till late in the night about Albert Einstein.
              •  felt very inspired from his life and achievements.
              •  anxiety causing fear and unease before the exam.
              •  after starting, things fell into place without much stress.
              •  by the end, a feeling of elation and achievement replaced the anxiety.

        VI.  You  wish  to  pursue  sports  as  a  career,  whereas  your  parents  want  to  see  you  as  an
             established doctor. Write a diary entry in 100–120 words expressing your dilemma.


              In your diary entry, you must:
              •  include what sport you like.
              •  what career your parents think suits you best.
              •  explain why you want to pursue that particular sport.

        VII.  You are Subhas Gaur. Your school celebrated Earth Day with full gusto. You participated
             in  a  drama  to  create  awareness  about  the  need  to  save  the  planet  Earth  by  planting
             more trees. Write a diary entry in 100–120 words describing the celebration and your
             feelings at the end of the day.

              In your diary entry, you must:
              •  write how Earth Day was celebrated in your school.
              •  tell about any specific incident during the celebration.
              •  describe your own feelings about the need to give more importance to mother Earth.
