Numbers up to 100                                                                                         73

              Write the tens and ones in the form of numbers. One is done for you.

                      3 tens and 7 ones                  37                8 tens and 2 ones

                      5 tens and 3 ones 2 tens and 7 ones

                      6 tens and 9 ones 7 tens and 8 ones

                      4 tens and 0 ones 9 tens and 4 ones

        Expanded form

        When we write the number as sum of its tens and ones, it is called expanded form.
        For example,

              62 = 6 tens and 2 ones = 60 + 2                     47 = 4 tens and 7 ones = 40 + 7

              Write the following numbers in the expanded form. One is done for you.

                                                            80
                                           3
                        8
                                                                      3
              83   =  ____ tens and ____ ones  =  ____  +  ____
              55   =  ____ tens and ____ ones  =  ____  +  ____
              65   =  ____ tens and ____ ones  =  ____  +  ____

              37   =  ____ tens and ____ ones  =  ____  +  ____

              41   =  ____ tens and ____ ones  =  ____  +  ____

        Comparing numbers

        The 2-digit number with a bigger digit at the tens place is bigger than the other

        2-digit number.

        If the digit at the tens place is same, then the number with a bigger digit at the ones

        place is bigger.
