If the short hand points to 5 and the long A day has 24 hours, but clocks
hand points to the 12, we read it as 5 o'clock. show only 12. Why is it so?

A day is divided into two halves. And same goes with the other half
that is from midday to next midnight.

From midnight to midday, it is first half, and Thanks didi for teaching

Give the students a task to record their daily routines, such as getting up, taking a bath, eating
breakfast, and so on. They will mention the work as well as the time. Draw a clock on the board
and have each of them draw the hours and minutes hands for each thing they do on a regular
basis.
