Solid Shapes
Solids can be of various shapes. The outside of a solid is called its Face
surface. The surface may be plane or curved. A solid object is defined
by number of faces, edges and vertices it has. Edge
A face is a flat side of a solid.
Vertex
An edge is where 2 faces of a solid meet.
A vertex is a point where 3 or more edges meet.
Some solid shapes are described here.
Cube Edge
A cube has 6 flat faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices. All the six faces of a
cube are squares. Vertex

Cuboid Edge
A cuboid has 6 flat faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices. All the six
faces of a cuboid are rectangles.
