MISSI ROTI
Ingredients:
• wheat flour – 140 grams • red chilli – 1/2 teaspoon
• gram flour – 70 grams • carom seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
• onions – 150 grams • cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
• mint – 1 tablespoon • ghee – 1 tablespoon
• coriander – 1 tablespoon • water – 400 millilitres
• salt – 1 teaspoon
Method:
• In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, gram flour, onions, mint, coriander, salt, red chilli,
carom seeds, cumin seeds, ghee, and water. Knead it into a smooth soft dough.
• Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
• Take a medium size ball from the dough.
• Flatten and roll the ball with the help of rolling pin.
• Place the roti on a hot tawa and cook on moderate heat.
• When the base is partially cooked, flip the roti and spread some ghee on the partly
cooked part.
• When the second side is cooked, then flip again and spread some ghee on the roti.
• Flip once or twice more, so that the missi roti is evenly cooked.
• Top with butter and serve hot.
